Dubai, UAE – April 12, 2022: Emirates Moto, a subsidiary of Emirates Transport (ET) that specialises in maintenance and repair services for luxury vehicles, was awarded a 5-star certificate of conformity from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The Unit becomes the first government-owned auto services workshop serving customers directly (B2C) to receive the certificate, and the second Emirates Transport workshop to do so after the Emirates Auto Services Centre was among the first in the country to be awarded the certificate back in 2020.
Faryal Tawakul, Acting CEO of Emirates Transport, expressed her delight in the awarding of the certificate to Emirates Moto, stating it was an important step towards achieving the company’s strategic objective of expanding its business to customers sectors.
She said: “ET is keen to utilize all its considerable expertise in auto services to offer the best standards and exceed the expectations of its clients, both business and individuals.
“The awarding of the conformity certificate is a clear indicator that the company is moving in the right direction to achieve its diversification and expansion plans and offer motorists a wider choice through the provision of maintenance and repair services of the highest quality,” added the ET Acting CEO.
AbdelHamid Sba, ET’s Chief MRO Officer – Technical Services Division, said: “The awarding of the certificate is a clear recognition from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology that Emirates Moto meets all the quality standards to serve and delight its customers.
“This is just another step towards offering motorists in the UAE wider options with the highest quality services,” he added.
The conformity certificates for auto services providers were first introduced in early 2020 by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology “ESMA”, which was later merged under the structure of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The certificate was introduced as part of a proposed UAE system for the requirements of repair facilities and vehicle service centers which aimed to establish a structured, practical, and fair framework for the quality of vehicle repair workshops in the UAE to ensure fair access to the service for consumers.
Since its launch in July of 2016, Emirates Moto has managed to play an important role in the luxury and sports vehicle maintenance sector in the UAE.
The Unit has a capacity to serve more than 100 luxury vehicles per day, in its state-of-the-art facilities extending over an area of more than 182,000 square feet in its location in Dubai, and 34,000 square feet in its location in Sharjah.
